Some of the things we didn’t like about the commercially available, now obsolete, equipment that we were forced to use at the time which forced us to start experimenting for a better way were, among other things, the use of Rockwool which is used as a rooting medium and is an environmental and biohazard, not to mention a stinky, soggy, heavy, cumbersome asbestos-like after harvest mess to clean up and dispose of that is, of course, not biodegradable. That was our first and primary concern. We designed every possible problem that we ever encountered (and we encountered absolutely EVERY one of them) out of our ULTRAponics GroTube System and are so confident in what we’ve developed over the course of the past 14 years that we tell people that our system is the only system you’ll ever need. We also made it easy to clean, heavy duty and from DRINKING WATER QUALITY PVC to insure no toxic chemicals would leech into the nutrient solution and into your plants or react with the plastic.
